Welcome to my Oboe Reed shop, my goal is to provide oboists with excellent reeds and cane that will help them achieve their goals on the instrument .

Stable, vibrant, and ringing reed with medium resistant and quick response. Medium to hard RGO cane used with Hiniker Staples either brass or silver. Reeds can be made with a Mack-Pfeiffer or John Ferrillo Narrow shapes. Please note reeds shaped on the John Ferrillo Narrow shape take at least a week to ship out.
Free blowing and responsive, student oboe reeds are made with a simple scrape that prioritizes ease and function. Shaped with a Mack-Pfeiffer shaper tip on a synthetic cork staple.
Blank is made using RGO cane, gouged using the Musecho Dream gouge, shaped on a Mack-Pfieffer tip, and tied on a synthetic cork staple. Blanks can be left closed with only tip scraped or clipped open with some bark removed. (Please specify how much scrapping you would like done if you have a preference.)
Lessons

Karen has taught private oboe lessons since 2016 to a wide variety of students of all ages. With a large focus on fundamental concepts, lessons are individually tailored to help the student reach their goals. Lessons are provided both in person and online. Reed lessons are also available that help students better understand reedmaking with helpful tips and general knowledge.
Karen has had the pleasure of working with students at various schools in the South Florida area such as Miami Arts Charter, the Conservatory School in North Palm Beach, Lake Worth High School, Coral Springs Charter School, and Majory Stoneman Douglas High School.
